Lucía Sánchez, teacher at UNEATLANTICO, is carrying out an Erasmus+ stay in Italy

Dr. Lucía Sánchez, lecturer of the Faculty of Social Sciences at the European University of the Atlantic (UNEATLANTICO), has participated in an Erasmus+ stay in Perugia, Italy, from 10 to 14 February.

During her stay, Dr. Sánchez carried out academic activities at the Instituto Universitario Mediazione Linguistica, an institution specialised in translation, interpretation and linguistic mediation. In this context, the UNEATLANTICO professor taught Spanish as a foreign language, addressing Italian students in order to improve their command of Spanish, helping them to deepen their understanding of the Spanish language.

On the other hand, Dr. Sánchez gave a lecture entitled ‘The Importance of Language in Education: Bridging Cultures and Enhancing Learning’. In her talk, she highlighted the essential role of language in education, as well as its capacity to connect different cultures and its subsequent impact on the learning process.

This experience has been a professional enrichment for the UNEATLANTICO teacher, allowing her to apply all her knowledge in an international environment, learn new methodologies and promote dialogue between educational communities from different countries.

Finally, the teacher stresses that ‘the feeling I have once the stay is over is that having the opportunity to have an experience of this type enriches my teaching training by getting to know other university contexts and also represents an opportunity for my students, as the activities I have proposed have put them in contact with other types of students’.
