The Iberoamerican University Foundation (FUNIBER), through its headquarters in Honduras, held a graduation ceremony in honor of students who successfully completed their master’s and doctoral programs, delivered in collaboration with the universities that make up FUNIBER’s international academic network.
In total, 63 students successfully completed their post-graduate studies: 47 graduates from the Universidad Europea del Atlántico (UNEATLANTICO), 9 from the Universidad Internacional Iberoamericana (UNIB) of Puerto Rico, 1 from the Universidad Internacional Iberoamericana de México (UNINI México) and 3 in recognition of their academic excellence.
The event brought together graduates, families, teachers and institutional representatives, who shared a day of joy, pride and recognition for the academic effort of the new graduates. The main panel was composed by Ms. Gabriela Quijano, executive director of FUNIBER Honduras; Ms. Belky Brizuela, coordinator of the Academic Secretariat; and Mr. Nelson Salguero, coordinator of UNEATLANTICO admissions in Honduras.
During their interventions, Ms. Quijano and Ms. Brizuela congratulated the graduates and highlighted FUNIBER’s mission of «building bridges so that more people can access quality education, with international scope and a strong social commitment». They also underlined the value of effort, discipline and determination shown by students in achieving this important academic achievement.
On behalf of the graduates, Guillermo Eduardo Sandoval Aguilar, Doctor in Education with specialization in Research by UNIB, and Juan Pablo Carías Díaz, Doctor in Nutrition by UNINI Mexico, offered words of thanks. Both highlighted the opportunity to study through FUNIBER, which allowed them to combine their academic training with their professional and personal responsibilities in a flexible educational environment of international quality.
The event was very significant for the new professionals, who are now part of the international community of FUNIBER graduates, an academic network present in more than 30 countries. He also reaffirmed the Foundation’s commitment to higher education, inter-university cooperation and the internationalization of knowledge, which are fundamental pillars of its educational work.
The ceremony concluded with the presentation of diplomas and a message encouraging graduates to continue their professional development with ethics, leadership and social commitment, values that FUNIBER promotes as part of its mission to contribute to the sustainable progress of communities through education.
FUNIBER Honduras will continue to support the training of professionals committed to the social, scientific and cultural development of the country, promoting academic opportunities that promote personal and collective growth.
