Florent Osmani, a lecturer at the European University of the Atlantic (UNEATLANTICO), has completed two different Erasmus stays as a teacher and assistant in Belgium and the Netherlands. In addition, during his stay in the Netherlands he was accompanied by two students of the degree in Physical Activity and Sport Sciences (CAFYD).
Osmani spent a week at the University of Howest, located in Bruges, Belgium. There, Florent taught classes on the phases of the menstrual cycle and its influence on physical performance. In addition, he gave a series of lectures on recovery fatigue following muscle injury.
In this line, the professor of UNEATLANTICO, had the opportunity to teach practices based on injury prevention. These classes are focused on the functional assessment of the lower limbs of the body. Thus, Osmani performed a series of exercises and tests with the students so that they can learn through practice how to perform self-assessments or assessments to other people.
International experience with UNEATLANTICO students
The second week, Florent made an Erasmus stay in the Netherlands in which he was accompanied by the students of the degree in CAFYD, Luis Manuel Sastre and Monica Cardeñosa. In this case, both Florent and the students were participants of the Blended Intensive Program (BIP). In this case, the program was focused on the design of games for Physical Education classes in Secondary School. The program included students from different universities from Spain, Ireland, Belgium and the Netherlands.
It is worth noting that this is the first time that members of the UNEATLANTICO community have participated in a Blended Intensive Program, demonstrating the importance of intercultural experiences for student development.
