The European University of the Atlantic welcomed some thirty new professors who will be joining the 2021-2022 academic year in a ceremony held in the Assembly Hall.
The event was presided over by the rector of UNEATLANTICO, Rubén Calderón, who emphasized aspects such as the internationalization of the University, the high percentage of undergraduate students from other countries, as well as the importance of employability through the creation of the Occupational Observatory. During his speech, Calderón did not forget to mention the importance of rigorous teaching as one of the University’s foundations.
In this sense, the new faculty has had the opportunity to learn not only about UNEATLANTICO’s structure, but also the different departments and services of which it is composed.
Roberto Ruiz, Secretary General of UNEATLANTICO, highlighted the importance of the University’s General Secretariat during his speech at the ceremony. “We are very pleased with the increase in undergraduate and master’s degree students. The University has enormous ties with the 39 representative offices it has abroad, by which you will find a huge number of international students in our classes,” Ruiz stated.
Afterwards, the event was closed by the Vice Rector for Academic Planning and Faculty, Silvia Aparicio, who is in charge of introducing the new professors of the different degrees to the rest of their colleagues.
Along these same lines, Silvia Aparicio explained the basic aspects of the Virtual Campus, highlighting the importance of the teaching methodology and the practicality of the classes.
After the ceremony, the new professors received a more complete course on how the Virtual Campus operated as provided by Professor Lázaro Hernández.
Lastly, the European University of the Atlantic is pleased to be able to incorporate such qualified professors to its staff. Welcome!
