Welcome Day 2024 was held for international students joining UNEATLANTICO
Incoming international students attend Welcome Day.

The members of the Student Mentoring project of the European University of the Atlantic (UNEATLANTICO), welcome the incoming foreign students of the academic year 2024-2025 from more than a dozen countries.


The Welcome Day took place last Thursday September 18 in the Exhibition Hall of the University. A series of group activities were organized to help the students get to know each other better and facilitate their integration into the university community. Around eighty students from Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Peru, Dominican Republic and Venezuela shared in the Welcome Day for the 2024-2025 academic year.
First, the rector of the University, Ruben Calderon presided over the event welcoming the new students, speaking of the importance that UNEATLANTICO gives to internationalization and collaboration with other countries.
Following this, Ana Bustamante, director of the UNEATLANTICO Residence, introduced herself to the young people so that they would know where to turn in case of any situation that might arise during their stay at the residence. She also took the opportunity to remind some rules and the importance of compliance with them for the good coexistence within the residence.
On the other hand, it is worth mentioning the presence of representatives of Banco Santander, who informed about their entity, and the director of institutional relations of Real Racing Club de Fútbol, Víctor Diego, who encouraged the students to get to know Los Campos del Sport and be part of the Real Racing Club Foundation volunteers.
Likewise, representatives of the Physical Activity and Sports Service (SAFD) commented on some of the activities they organize around sports as well as the upcoming calls for futsal, basketball and volleyball training groups. Finally, the teacher Luis Eduardo Prado Gonzalez, along with representatives of the Mentoring program presented the project in order to publicize its origin, its objectives, the team that makes it up and the program of activities planned for this new semester.
