UNEATLANTICO will hold the opening ceremony for the 2025-2026 academic year tomorrow

The Universidad Europea del Atlántico (European University of the Atlantic, UNEATLANTICO) will hold the formal opening ceremony for the 2025-2026 academic year tomorrow. The ceremony will take place at 11:00 a.m. in the campus auditorium. It will be attended by the Minister of Education, Vocational Training and Universities, Sergio Silva, the president of FUNIBER, Santos Gracia, and the rector of UNEATLANTICO, Rubén Calderón.

The Secretary General of the academic institution, Jesús Peña, will open the ceremony by reading the Report on the 2024/2025 academic year, and will then award the special prizes to the students with the best academic records in that year.

Next, the President of FUNIBER and member of the university’s governing council, Santos Gracia, will give the Laudatio, followed by the presentation of the University Medal by the rector, Rubén Calderón, to the Minister of Higher Education, Science and Technology of the Dominican Republic, Franklin García Fermín, and José Antonio Cancel, Deputy Minister of Administration and Finance of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology of the Dominican Republic.

The inaugural lecture will be given by the Minister of Higher Education, Science and Technology of the Dominican Republic, Franklin García. This will be followed by speeches from the Minister of Education, Vocational Training and Universities, Sergio Silva, and the rector of the university, who will give the inaugural address.
