UNEATLANTICO welcomes the new lecturers joining the teaching staff for the new academic year 2025-2026

The Universidad Europea del Atlántico (European University of the Atlantic, UNEATLANTICO) welcomed new lecturers and researchers joining for the 2025-2026 academic year at a meeting organised by the Vice-Chancellor’s Office for Academic Planning and Teaching Staff on the university campus. In addition to the new lecturers, the meeting was also attended by the directors of the various degree programmes and the heads of various management areas and departments of the institution, including the Rector’s Office, the Academic Secretariat and the Management Office.

During his speech, the Rector of UNEATLANTICO, Rubén Calderón, highlighted the university’s firm commitment to academic excellence in an increasingly globalised environment.

On the other hand, Jesús Peña, Secretary General, emphasised his department’s willingness to provide support to professors in administrative matters and to resolve queries related to university and state regulations.

For her part, Silvia Aparicio, Vice-Rector for Academic Organisation and Faculty, presented the structure of the University and introduced the academic directors of each degree programme, who will guide and support the new professors. She also stressed the importance of the teaching vocation and interdisciplinary collaboration among faculty.

Finally, David García (Academic Organisation), Pablo Herrero (Systems and IT) and Atenea Ruigómez (Virtual Campus) gave a joint presentation on basic training in the use of the panel and the virtual campus. During the session, key aspects of these tools were detailed, including the teaching guide, class materials and academic planning for each subject, with the aim of strengthening the new teachers’ knowledge of their teaching tasks for the 2025-2026 academic year.
