The Mentoring group of the Universidad Europea del Atlántico (European Atlantic University, UNEATLANTICO) organizes again the traditional Welcome Day for international students who arrive at the university in February.
With the start of the second quarter of the year 2025 – 2026, the university welcomes more than 90 new international students from different countries in Latin America, Africa and Asia. The celebration took place in the Exhibition Hall of the university campus and was inaugurated by Luis Prado, director of the Mentoring program and lecturer at UNEATLANTICO.
Subsequently, representatives of the Office of International Relations (ORI) Esperanza Gutierrez and Cristina Méndez, gave a welcome to the students and gave them the necessary information to guide them in their processes of foreigners. The teacher and director of the PROFER Program of the Degree in Computer Engineering (II), Loyda Alas, also offered a welcome and addressed especially to the students of the degrees in Engineering since she will be their teacher in the future.
With the invited students were held some activities to break the ice between them, be able to encourage companionship and make it easier for them to meet new people. In addition, they were informed about the various activities that are being carried out together with the Mentoring group for those interested in attending the upcoming ones.
