Ruth Beitia, reigning Olympic champion in the high jump and professor of the degree in Physical Activity and Sports Sciences at the European University of the Atlantic, will cover the Tokyo Olympic Games, which begin on July 23 and end on August 8.
In this way, the teacher of the subject “Athletics” and Olympic medalist, will bring to the readers of different newspapers belonging to the Vocento group, both regional and national, conversations with athletes who will be in Tokyo and with those who, due to some injury, will not be able to finally compete.
During these interviews, Beitia will learn about the athletes’ aspirations, their feelings and emotions, and the way in which home confinement prevented them from training properly.
“These conversations have been like chats between friends who have felt the same. During them, we have brought out many feelings, dreams, and awakenings”- Beitia says- “It has been very rewarding to know the interest of each athlete, and I have been very happy to be part of these Olympic Games in another way.”
In this sense, from the European University of the Atlantic, we encourage all those interested in sports to read the various interviews that the teacher and Olympic medalist will conduct with well-known and renowned athletes during the celebration of the Games.
