Students from the European University of the Atlantic (UNEATLANTICO), Víctor Higuera, of the Degree in Psychology (PSI), and Álvaro Higuera, of the Degree in Journalism (PER), travelled to Brussels to visit the European Parliament on behalf of Team Europe.
From 3 to 6 November, the event brought together more than 500 young people from 15 autonomous communities. During this stay, the students of the university, who represented the delegation of Equipo Europa from Cantabria, accompanied students from IES Villajunco and shared a learning experience that combined knowledge of European institutions with international youth exchange.
The students say that it was an enriching experience because it gave them a thorough understanding of how European policy and legislative matters which affect daily life work, as well as giving them the opportunity to make contacts and get to know work and business closely.
UNEATLANTICO highlights the commitment of its students to this type of initiatives, which enhance participation in international affairs, thus reinforcing the institutional commitment to the training of young people committed to the values of the European Union.
