UNEATLANTICO students participate in the 4th edition of “ON Creación”

Iker Moreno and María Gutierrez, Audiovisual Communication (CA) students at the Universidad Europea del Atlántico (European University of the Atlantic, UNEATLANTICO), are participating in the 4th edition of “On Creación”, organised by the Botín Centre, with their proposal “Sun To Me”.

The “ON Creación” programme, organised annually by the Botín Centre and supported by the EDP Foundation, is aimed at young people who want to create, experiment and express themselves through the arts. With no prerequisites, the programme seeks to develop creative thinking and provide the necessary materials for young people to develop their projects.

In this new edition, third-year Audiovisual Communication (CA) students Iker Moreno and María Gutierrez presented their proposal ‘Sun To Me’, an audiovisual project that seeks to represent the way in which music is capable of moving people so deeply that it often becomes a lifeline. They seek to establish an analogy using the myth of Orpheus and his descent into Tartarus, transforming music into the ‘rope’ of light and purification that rescues the soul from shadows, anguish and chaos.

The workshops began last week and will continue until the exhibition of the projects in July this year. During the first meeting, the participants had the opportunity to get to know each other, as well as the director of the Botín Centre, Fátima Sánchez Santiago, and the various creative directors who will be helping them to create their projects.
