Estela Alves, who obtained her Master’s Degree in Corporate Communication from the European University of the Atlantic, with a Training Scholarship granted by the Ibero-American University Foundation (FUNIBER), presented results of her Master’s final project at the Intercom 2024 Congress, which took place in Brazil.
Her presentation showed results of her research on immersive and interactive exhibitions as a business communication strategy, specifically in the Brazilian energy sector, but also with some experiences of consumer products companies.
Her research project was directed by Professor Michelle Moreira, who emphasizes her commitment and interest in the subject: “Estela Alves has made a study on a tool that has great potential for communication and building the corporate brand. This tool is also an opportunity to link the company with educational, citizenship and social responsibility actions”, said the professor.
Her study analyzed initiatives that use interactive and educational exhibitions to understand the strategies and tools used, including the Light Museum, an electric power company in Brazil that seeks to educate about responsible energy consumption through an exhibition space and school visits.
Estela Alves is coordinator of the Programa Educativo e Centro Cultural Light, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Her professional experience has led her to investigate the efficiency of some educational and social responsibility communication strategies for institutional communication.
The congress in which she presented the results of her study is part of actions organized by Intercom – Brazilian Society of Interdisciplinary Communication Studies, a non-profit institution that promotes the development of scientific production in the area of communication.
