The Universidad Europea del Atlántico (UNEATLANTICO) and the Universidad Tecnológica ECOTEC, a prestigious Ecuadorian university located in Guayaquil, have signed a collaboration agreement. The aim of the agreement is to promote the interests of both institutions in terms of exchanges of experience and knowledge, as well as the provision of services between them.
The agreement was signed on behalf of ECOTEC by Ph.D. Gilda Alcívar García, rector of the university, and Msc. Gonzalo López Barranco, director of International Relations and Cooperation of ECOTEC. On behalf of UNEATLANTICO, Roberto Ruiz, secretary general and vice-rector of international relations, attended the signing.
The main objective of this agreement is to promote academic, scientific and cultural cooperation relations, as well as the exchange of professors, researchers and undergraduate and postgraduate students, publications, academic programmes and collaborative research projects. The aim is to internationalise education and provide students with comprehensive, quality learning experiences. In addition, the aim is to carry out shared or joint degrees or double degrees to facilitate the validation and recognition of students’ degrees in both educational centres.
Also, part of the objectives within the agreement is to carry out exchanges between teachers from both universities, in order to strengthen joint activities in collaboration of the two institutions.
Through this agreement, the efforts of both universities are linked, promoting joint activities for the professional development of students, achieving greater internationalisation and, in turn, joint integration of the teaching staff at ECOTEC and UNEATLANTICO.
ECOTEC Technological University
ECOTEC is a university located in Ecuador, in the city of Guayaquil. Its aim is to provide quality education to students, with an increasing focus on internationalisation in education. In addition, it has study models that fit the needs of each student, such as a variety of degrees and master’s degrees in classroom, hybrid or virtual mode.
