UNEATLANTICO, represented by Prof. F. Álvaro Durántez Prados, establishes institutional and educational relations in Equatorial Guinea
UNEATLANTICO professor Dr. F. Álvaro Durántez, together with the main authorities of the Equatoguinean Academy of the Spanish Language (AEGLE) at the institution’s regional antenna in the city of Bata.

In the context of the recent visit to Equatorial Guinea of FUNIBER’s Director of Institutional Relations and professor at the European University of the Atlantic (UNEATLANTICO), Dr. F. Álvaro Durántez Prados, the groundwork has been laid for close collaboration with the International Graduate Center of Guinea (CIP) and the Equatoguinean Academy of the Spanish Language (AEGLE).

Within the framework of the promotion of educational and cultural relations with Equatorial Guinea, FUNIBER’s Director of Institutional Relations, Dr. F. Álvaro Durántez Prados, met last April in the capital of the country’s Continental Region, the city of Bata, with the President of the Equatoguinean Academy of the Spanish Language (AEGLE), Mr. Agustín Nze Nfumum, and the President of the Equatoguinean Academy of the Spanish Language (AEGLE), Mr. Agustín Nze Nfumum. Agustín Nze Nfumu, and with the president of the International Postgraduate Center of Equatorial Guinea “Verónica Eyang”, Dr. Fernando Ignacio Ondo Ndjeng, as well as with their respective teams. Dr. Durántez has already initiated discussions with Professors Nze and Ondo on the occasion of the IX Congreso Internacional de la Lengua Española (CILE), held in Cadiz in March 2023.

Both with the CIP and with the Equatoguinean Academy of the Spanish Language, a future agreement is foreseen to facilitate the distance training of teachers at master’s and doctoral level, including a particular sensitivity towards the qualification of Equatoguinean teachers of Spanish as a foreign language, who, in the future, will be able to develop their educational and professional work in the various countries of the African continent where Spanish is especially in demand.
