UNEATLANTICO publishes the study NutriPALOP: Survey on eating habits and health of Angolan participants

The European University of the Atlantic (UNEATLANTICO), in collaboration with the Ibero-American University Foundation (FUNIBER) and the Universidade Internacional do Cuanza ( UNIC), publishes the report NutriPALOP Study: Survey of eating habits and health of Angolan participants.

The study compiles the responses of 311 Angolans who voluntarily participated in the survey to learn about eating and health habits in Portuguese-speaking African Countries (PALOP).

The study was carried out within the framework of the European Community-funded project Clinical Simulation Practice-based Learning in Nursing (CLINICALSIM), which seeks, through training, research and innovation, to promote the improvement of nursing in Angola.

This study is the result of the work of an international network formed by researchers, students and teachers who collaborate in the development of knowledge and research. UNEATLANTICO has supported the initiative, as well as coordinating the publication of the report with professors from the academic network in which it participates and with its Social Action area.

The study is essential to understand the challenges faced by the country in promoting health through eating habits, as well as the importance that Angolans attach to the professional role of nutritionists in health care.

The European University of the Atlantic offers a degree in Human Nutrition and Dietetics (NHD), and the NutriPALOP report contributes to provide data for the training of future professionals in this sector in Angola.
