The Universidad Europea del Atlántico (European Atlantic University, UNEATLANTICO) participated in the DIVERSE European Universities Alliance meeting held from 21 to 23 January at Satakunta University of Applied Sciences (SAMK), Pori, Finland. This meeting was attended by the twelve universities that are part of the alliance, and UNEATLANTICO was represented by the members of the Office of International Relations(ORI), Leticia Díaz and Laura Chiva.
The meeting began on Wednesday 21 with a welcome dinner hosted by SAMK. The following day, the working sessions kicked off with a speech by the university president, Jari Multisilta, who stressed the importance of collaboration to build a better future and stronger universities, Followed by a musical performance by the band called The Rector and the Deans.
During this meeting, key issues within the alliance were discussed, such as the development of micro credentials, joint programmes, the progress of ongoing masters and strategic aspects related to communication. The main achievements of DIVERSE in the field of teaching and learning, the contributions of working groups and advances in interoperability were also presented.
In addition to the meetings, participants were able to get a closer look at Finnish culture through traditional activities such as sauna and swimming in ice-cold water, an unforgettable experience for many.
The participation of UNEATLANTICO in these meetings is fundamental, since from these meetings arise projects and decisions that directly benefit our students and contribute to add value to higher education, both nationally and internationally..
