As a new activity for the integration of first year international students of the European University of the Atlantic (UNEATLANTICO) the International Relations Office (ORI) of the university organized a visit to the Palacio de la Magdalena, where they were received by Noemí Méndez Fernández, Councillor for Culture, Youth and Education of the City of Santander.
About twenty students met at the entrance of the Palacio de la Magdalena accompanied by Laura Saiz, Director of Institutional Relations of UNEATLANTICO; Cristina Méndez, member of the International Relations Office; and the teacher of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, Luis Eduardo Prado.
The students had the opportunity to visit the interior of the Palace, seeing the main rooms of the building and learning about the history of one of the most emblematic places of the city of Santander.
This visit is part of the series of activities that, from various departments of UNEATLANTICO, are carried out seeking the integration and adaptation of international students.
ABOUT THE PALACE OF LA MAGDALENA
The Magdalena Palace is one of the most emblematic places in the Bay of Santander, it was a gift from the city to the Kings of Spain Alfonso XIII and Victoria Eugenia. This place is attractive for tourists visiting the city, not only for the history it carries, but also for its geographical location, with spectacular seascapes and a wealth of greenery that can be enjoyed in pleasant walks.
