UNEATLANTICO organizes in Cape Verde a conference to discuss the importance of mental health

With the aim of promoting spaces for dialogue and reflection in the field of mental health, the European University of the Atlantic (UNEATLANTICO), together with the Ibero-American University Foundation (FUNIBER) and the Jean Piaget University of Cape Verde (UNIPIAGET) have organized the conference “Transtornos mentais e o uso problemático das redes sociais” (Mental disorders and the problematic use of social networks).

Dr. Angel Rojas, an expert in the field of psychiatry and psychology, professor at UNEATLANTICO and researcher at the Brazilian Institute of Pharmacological Practice (BIPP), will be the guest speaker who will present the most relevant aspects of a topic that affects an increasing number of people. The event will be held at the UNIPIAGET auditorium, at the Praia Campus, on Wednesday, May 29, 2024, at 4:00 pm.

FUNIBER opened the doors of its headquarters in the city of Praia just over a year ago, thanks to the collaboration of the Canary Islands Foundation for External Action of the Government of the Canary Islands (FUCAEX), and since then has been creating spaces for academic exchange and the development of people through education.

For more than 25 years, FUNIBER’s work has allowed thousands of students around the world to carry out their higher education studies at a distance, based on an avant-garde methodology and a student-centered learning model. It also promotes and organizes academic, scientific and research activities.

UNEATLANTICO is part of the FUNIBER university network formed by institutions with presence in Europe, Latin America and Africa. This inter-institutional cooperation facilitates student and faculty mobility, enriching the scope of educational practice.

This conference also counts with the collaboration of other institutions that are part of the university network in which UNEATLANTICO participates, the Universidad Internacional Iberoamericana de México (UNINI Mexico) and the Universidade Internacional do Cuanza (UNIC). Admission is free and open to all those attracted by the subject. To participate it is necessary to register through the following link:
