The Universidad Europea del Atlantico (European Atlantic University, UNEATLANTICO) opens the registration deadline for the 9th edition of the Debate League. In operation since 2017, this activity has become an emblematic seal of the university. In this new edition, students will be debating the following question: «Does unrestricted immigration strengthen or weaken the country?»
In view of the debate league, UNEATLANTICO offers a free oratory course that is taught face-to-face and with the participation of different professionals. This year, the course will be held from 9 to 13 February, with the participation of several professionals who will help improve research techniques, oratory and how to overcome stage fright among other topics. The debate league will be held from 19 to 27 February.
Among the speakers are Mónica Bóveda, trainer in public speaking techniques, with more than 20 years of experience in the field of communication and leadership; as well as Ángel Domingo Technical and Communications Director of the Spanish League of University Debate (LEDU), who have already taken part in the course offered by UNEATLANTICO in previous editions. The professionals who are part of the course is joined by Jorge Santiago Barnés, political consultant, Doctor in Political Communication and President of the Educational Institution of Analysis, Leadership, Political Studies and Humanism (ALEPH), who will be at UNEATLANTICO for this ninth edition.
IX Pre-university Debate League
UNEATLANTICO also offers the League in its pre-university form, with the aim of starting to train experienced students from school, In addition to forming a critical spirit and analytical and communicative capacity of its students to be active and participatory citizens, and to seek the truth through knowledge.
Finally, it should be noted that the champion of the Pre-university Debate League will represent Cantabria in the Spanish Pre-university Debate Championship.
