The Universidad Europea del Atlántico (European University of the Atlantic, UNEATLANTICO) has organized its first Blended Intensive Programme (BIP), titled “CESIM Game,” in the field of Business Administration. Students from various European countries, including the Czech Republic, the Netherlands, Portugal, and France, participated in this initiative.
During the program, a business simulation was conducted in which participants were organized into international teams. Each group was tasked with creating and managing a pharmaceutical company to operate in a simulated market, allowing them to apply their knowledge and develop skills relevant to the business world.
Throughout the week, various activities were also organized outside the university facilities with the aim of helping students get to know the city of Santander better. These included city tours, gastronomic experiences to discover the local cuisine, and sports activities that encouraged interaction among the participants.
At the end of the week, an awards ceremony was held for the teams that had achieved the best results based on various criteria, such as performance in corporate social responsibility (CSR), profitability, and dividends generated by their mock companies.
These activities allowed students to face simulated risk scenarios within a real-world job market, helping them understand how to respond to various challenges. Additionally, they enabled students to identify and evaluate different possible outcomes and solutions for problem-solving and to make decisions in a more strategic and informed manner.
Through initiatives like this, the UNEATLANTICO promotes internationalization and the practical application of knowledge. Students work on business simulations that recreate real-world situations, developing skills such as decision-making, teamwork, and strategic management in an international context.
