UNEATLANTICO hosts the FIDBAN and STARTInnova communication workshop

The auditorium of the European University of the Atlantic (UNEATLANTICO) was the venue for the communication workshop promoted by the Innovation and Development Foundation (FIDBAN) and STARTInnova, a youth entrepreneurship program promoted by El Diario Montañés with the collaboration of various entities and companies.

The opening ceremony was led by Diego Lainz, director of FIDBAN, and Álex Aguilera, coordinator of STARTInnova. The workshop was given by UNEATLANTICO lecturer Sofía Gómez.

In his presentation, the director of FIDBAN explained how the foundation works, encouraged participants to attend investment rounds, and emphasized the importance of entrepreneurship as a philosophy at UNEATLANTICO.

The workshop began with the premise that “communication is key.” Throughout the session, participants learned what a pitch is and how it is structured, as well as the importance of effective communication in conveying information correctly and capturing the audience’s attention. The importance of knowing how to sell an idea to potential investors was also emphasized.

The day also included a practical session focused on different types of pitches. Each group presented their project through a 30-second elevator pitch, putting clarity and conciseness into practice. In this regard, it was highlighted that “most opportunities are not born in formal meetings, but in informal conversations.”
