UNEATLANTICO gives diplomas to the best academic records of the eighth grade of graduates

The Universidad Europea del Atlántico (European University of the Atlantic) (UNEATLANTICO) again made the delivery of diplomas to the best academic records of the 2024-2025 promotion. The presentation took place during the opening ceremony of the new academic year, held in the Hall of the university.

During the event, the students recognized for their constant effort and dedication throughout their university career in the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities were:

Laura Chiva, who received the recognition of the best academic record of the degree in Journalism (PER), awarded by the director of the degree, Helena Garay. Chiva graduated from the double degree in Advertising and Public Relations (PRP) and Journalism, marking this as the second time she receives this recognition. Laura is currently working in the International Relations Office (ORI) of UNEATLANTICO and aims to grow at an academic level by taking a Master’s degree in Corporate Communication.

On the other hand, of the degree in Business Administration and Management (ADE), the student Génesis Roquel Rodríguez received recognition from the Vice-Rector of Academic and Teacher Education and Director of the degree, Silvia Aparicio. Genesis will now explore the different options available to her and the different ways in which she can work both nationally and internationally.

Gonzalo Alonso Armengod was recognized as the best academic record of the degree in Primary Education (EP), awarded by Josep Alemany, Vice-Rector for University Extension and director of the degree. Alonso shares that he is studying the possibilities he has after having successfully completed his studies. Their goal is to work in the field of teaching.

Finally, the Master’s Degree in Teacher Training of Compulsory Secondary Education and Baccalaureate, Vocational Training and Language Teaching (MFP), was awarded to student Cristina Estefanía Corral. It should be noted that in addition to completing the Master’s degree, he previously completed the degree in Physical Activity and Sport Sciences (CAFYD) at UNEATLANTICO. Currently, she is a Taekwondo instructor and trainer and is preparing for the examinations.

From the Faculty of Health Sciences, in the degree of Human Nutrition and Dietetics (NHD), Iñaki Elío presented the recognition to Mario Ibáñez Villegas. Ibáñez will now study a Master’s degree focusing on the field of sports nutrition.

Juan Luis Martín, director of the degree in Psychology (PSI) gave the recognition to the student Patricia Morán Quijano, best academic record of the degree in Psychology, and Itziar Pérez, best academic record of the University Master in General Health Psychology (MPGS).

Itziar Pérez shares that his experience of taking the Master was very positive. Particularly highlights its practical nature, an aspect which it considers of great importance as a master’s degree. Thanks to his stay at UNEATLANTICO, he claims to have acquired numerous skills and tools that will be very useful for him to develop his career in the field of neuropsychology.

For her part, Patricia Morán did her internship at the Colegio Doctor Fernando Arce located in Torrelavega; currently Morán is doing a Master’s degree at the University of Oviedo, with the aim of being able to practice in the health area in the future.

For the degree in Physical Activity and Sports Sciences (CAFYD), the student Óscar Pérez Bárcena received the recognition, given by the academic director of the degree, Fernando Maniega. Pérez is now working in a sports center in Cantabria and is starting the Master in Teacher Training.

From the Escuela Politécnica Superior, of the degree in Computer Engineering (II), Jesús Ramos González was awarded with the best academic record. The diploma was handed over by the director of the degree and dean of the school, Manuel Masías. Ramos, has been inserted in the labor market, staying to work as developer in the company CIC Consulting Informatics, located in the Scientific and Technological Park of Cantabria (PCTCAN)

Finally, Jorge Crespo, director of the degree in Industrial Organization Engineering (IOI) made the delivery to student Gonzalo Domínguez Sandoya. Dominguez now works in a company located in Guarnizo called FLYMCA. He is also studying for a Master’s degree in Design, Management and Project Management from UNEATLANTICO. Dominguez shares with us that his current goals are mainly to continue working and being able to train in the fields of engineering and thus become a project director.
