As an integration activity, incoming international students of the European University of the Atlantic (UNEATLANTICO) had the opportunity to attend an activity organized by the International Relations Office (ORI) and the Mentoring area in collaboration with the team of the Cabárceno Nature Park on the occasion of their welcome.
The event was attended by park managers and a team of students and teachers from UNEATLANTICO. The students were summoned in the morning to the outskirts of the institution, so that the vehicle from Cabárceno could take them to visit the park, with the purpose of admiring more than 120 species of animals.
The park was toured by bus and different stops were made to observe the reserves where the animals were found. The students were able to see the animals and even interact with them, such as giraffes, tigers, gorillas, ostriches, llamas, among others. In addition, the park staff gave them the opportunity to ride the gondola for free. During this experience they were able to admire the park from the heights and have a better view of nature and the place. They were also able to watch an eagle show put on by the park along with the rest of the day’s visitors.
The day ended with a visit to the gift and food stores, where the students of UNEATLANTICO were able to rest, recharge their batteries, eat and buy some souvenirs to take away something more from this visit and cozy activity.
