UNEATLANTICO collaborates in the Psychology, Education, and Mental Health Conference from October 6 to 10

The Universidad Europea del Atlántico (European University of the Atlantic, UNEATLANTICO) is joining as a collaborating entity in the Psychology, Education, and Mental Health Conference, which will be held from October 6 to 10 in the Paraninfo de la Magdalena.

The event is organized by Professor Ignacio Morgado, professor emeritus of Psychobiology at the Autonomous University of Barcelona, in collaboration with the Official College of Psychologists of Cantabria.

For five days, nationally renowned experts will address current challenges in mental health, especially in the field of education. Among the most notable presentations is that of Dr. Carla Álvarez, professor of the Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology (PSI) at UNEATLANTICO, who will give a talk focused on brain changes during adolescence, a key stage for the prevention and treatment of psychological disorders.

The main objective of these conferences is to analyze the increase in mental health problems in the school environment and to provide concrete proposals from the fields of psychology and education. They are aimed at students, professionals in the educational and health fields, families, and, in general, anyone interested in learning more about this issue of growing social relevance.

UNEATLANTICO especially encourages students in the Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology to participate in this conference, which represents a unique opportunity to expand their knowledge, establish professional contacts, and reflect on the current challenges in child and adolescent mental health.

Through its participation, the European University of the Atlantic reaffirms its institutional commitment to mental health and quality education, promoting academic activities that complement classroom learning and foster the comprehensive development of its students.
