The Universidad Europea del Atlántico (European University of the Atlantic, UNEATLANTICO), in collaboration with the Ibero-American University Foundation (FUNIBER), held an emotional farewell ceremony for new Mexican students who will soon travel to Spain to begin their undergraduate studies in Santander.
The event took place at the prestigious Real Club España in Mexico City and brought together students, family members, and academic and diplomatic authorities. The table of honor was composed of Luis Dzul, general director of FUNIBER Mexico; Francisco Salvador López, president of the Real Club España; Juan Vicente Pérez, education advisor at the Spanish Embassy in Mexico; and Manuel Hernández, consul general of Spain in Mexico.
During the ceremony, words of welcome and encouragement were offered by authorities, active UNEATLANTICO students, and family members of the new students, who shared their expectations and emotions about this new stage in their education.
The Mexican students have chosen from a wide variety of academic programs distributed across three faculties: the School of Health Sciences, the Higher Polytechnic School, and the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, which together offer 14 different degrees designed to respond to diverse interests and professional aspirations.
In addition, many of these students will benefit from the scholarship program promoted by UNEATLANTICO and FUNIBER, which provides assistance for both tuition and accommodation in the institution’s university residence in Spain.
This event reflects the firm commitment of UNEATLANTICO and FUNIBER to quality international education and reinforces the close collaboration between both entities to promote the academic and professional development of young talent in a globalized environment.
