The event brought together more than seven thousand higher education professionals from over a hundred countries.
Juan Luis Vidal, director of the International Relations Office (ORI) of the European University of the Atlantic (UNEATLANTICO), and Leticia Díaz, a member of the ORI, represented the university at the Annual Conference of the European Association of Institutions of Higher Education (EAIE), held in Toulouse from September 17 to 20. This global meeting brought together experts and professionals in the field of higher education from all over the world, offering a unique platform for the exchange of experiences, best practices and the creation of international synergies.
During the event, UNEATLANTICO representatives actively participated in various round tables, workshops and conferences. These spaces for dialogue and learning allowed Vidal and Díaz to exchange ideas on the latest trends in international mobility, the development of joint programs and the strengthening of European intercampuses, key issues in the context of the globalization of higher education.
One of the highlights of their participation was the opportunity to consolidate relationships with strategic partners within the framework of the Erasmus+ program. In addition, they took the opportunity to establish contacts with new institutions, with the aim of expanding and strengthening UNEATLANTICO’s network of international collaborators. This effort to expand alliances will enrich the mobility offer for the university’s students.
Several members of DIVERSE, the European alliance of universities of which UNEATLANTICO is a member, also participated in the event. During the meeting, the next steps to be taken in the framework of the DIVERSE project, which seeks to promote cooperation between educational institutions throughout Europe, were discussed. It was agreed that the next meeting of this alliance will take place in mid-October in Lisbon, where work will continue on the common objectives, focused on educational innovation and internationalization of the campuses.
UNEATLANTICO’s participation in this type of event reinforces its commitment to quality education, internationalization and the creation of collaborative opportunities that benefit both students and academic and administrative staff, consolidating its presence on the global educational scene.
