UNEATLANTICO assists and collaborates in the tenth edition of Global Youth Leadership Forum 2025

Students from the European University of the Atlantic (UNEATLANTICO) attend as collaborators to the tenth edition of the Global Youth Leadership Forum 2025 (GYLF), held between 12 and 17 October, at the Palacio de la Magdalena in Santander.

The GYLF is an international forum attended by young leaders from around the world to discuss with global figures the challenges countries face and how they affect societies. This year’s edition was entitled “Deglobalization and Corporate Diplomacy,” and addressed issues such as challenges to peace, security and economic development.

Eleven students belonging to the degrees of Journalism (PER), Psychology (PSI), Audiovisual Communication (CA) and Advertising and Public Relations (PRP) collaborated in the forum as part of the organizing team, communication, social networks and the steering committee of round tables, among others.

Also, students from the degrees of Business Administration and Management (ADE), Advertising and Public Relations (PRP), Journalism (PER) and Audiovisual Communication (CA) attended the forum as listeners, accompanied by Silvia Aparicio, Vice Rector of Academic and Teacher Education and Director of the Degree in ADE; and Luis Eduardo Prado, Director of Communication and lecturer at the university.

Over the five days of the conference, academics made presentations on a variety of topics, including challenges and opportunities for global governance; sustainability, development, cooperation and technological innovation; women’s leadership; and the importance of truthful information and training as keys to future leadership.

UNEATLANTICO supports and promotes this type of activity and recognizes its value for integral learning in the context of higher education. The participants in the forum stressed that this type of experience is a great opportunity to supplement theoretical knowledge in a real context and to strengthen personal and professional competences.

In addition, participation in events of national and international relevance allows students to broaden their vision of the professional world, establish contacts with experts and organizations in the sector and create links that will enrich their future development. In this way, the university reinforces its commitment to a quality education, practical and oriented towards the personal and professional growth of its students.

From the European Atlantic University we are grateful for the invitation by the Organizing Committee of the Global Youth Leadership Forum.
