The Universidad Europea del Atlantico (European University of the Atlantic, UNEATLANTICO) and the Technological University of Honduras (UTH) have signed a collaboration agreement during the visit of UNEATLANTICO’s rector, Rubén Calderón, to Honduras.
The agreement was signed by the rectors of both institutions, Dr. Rubén Calderón Iglesias on behalf of UNEATLANTICO, and Dr. Javier Mejía on behalf of UTH. The event was attended by academic authorities from UTH, including Dr. José Jesús Mora, academic vice-rector; Edgardo Enamorado, secretary general; Dr. Diego Chacón, vice-rector for National and International Relations; and the deans of each of the UTH faculties. On behalf of the Ibero-American University Foundation (FUNIBER), of which UNEATLANTICO is a member, through its headquarters in Honduras, Ms. Gabriela Quijano, executive director in Honduras, and Mr. Nelson Salguero, admissions coordinator for UNEATLANTICO in Honduras, were present.
This agreement will allow students from both universities to participate in academic exchanges and obtain a double degree that will be recognized in both countries. It will also strengthen academic, scientific, and cultural cooperation between the two institutions.
Dr. Calderón highlighted the importance of this alliance, given that today’s job market is increasingly global. It is essential to promote the acquisition of international skills and competencies among students. With this strategic alliance, UNEATLANTICO continues to support the professional and academic development of students in Honduras and throughout the region.
