The European Atlantic University (UNEATLANTICO) in collaboration with the Innovation and Development Foundation (FIDBAN) and the Iberoamerican University Foundation (FUNIBER) carried out an intense institutional agenda in Ecuador, visiting the cities of Guayaquil, Quito and Cuenca. During this tour, both institutions consolidated links with key players in academia, business and government, positioning Ecuador as a strategic country for international cooperation in innovation and entrepreneurship.
The main objective of this visit was to establish new strategic alliances aimed at promoting investment, entrepreneurship and international cooperation. The activities carried out highlighted investment opportunities in Cantabria, Spain, while positioning Ecuador as a key player on the innovation and sustainable development map.
The main objectives of the institutional tour included strengthening the triangular collaboration between UNEATLANTICO, FIDBAN and FUNIBER, the generation of synergies within the International Network of FUNIBER and the promotion of bilateral investment opportunities between Spain and Ecuador. We also sought to promote the growth of global enterprises, encouraging local talent and their internationalization.
One of the highlights of the visit was the presentation of the InvestInCantabria.com, platform, an initiative supported by SODERCAN, a public entity of the Government of Cantabria and main sponsor of FIDBAN. Through an institutional video, the competitive advantages of Cantabria as a gateway to the European market for investment and entrepreneurship were made known.
The director of FIDBAN and professor of UNEATLANTICO, Diego Laínz, presented the institutional support that supports the actions of FIDBAN, formed by the Government of Cantabria, SODERCAN, FUNIBER, the European University of the Atlantic (UNEATLANTICO), the Centro de Investigación y Tecnología Industrial de Cantabria (CITICAN), CEOE-CEPYME and the municipalities of Santander and Torrelavega.
In the academic field, a virtual meeting was held with 11 higher education institutions and Ecuadorian companies, with the aim of strengthening links between the university world and the productive sector. This session highlighted the benefits that FUNIBER offers through its Training Fellowship Programme, which facilitates access to undergraduate, graduate and doctoral studies through its extensive network of international universities, as well as investment opportunities, tion and networking for technology-based projects.
With this agenda, FUNIBER and FIDBAN reaffirm their commitment to the sustainable development of Ecuadorian talent, reaffirming their mission to promote the internationalization of knowledge, Access to quality higher education and support for entrepreneurial initiatives that have a positive impact both in Ecuador and internationally.
