The European University of the Atlantic (UNEATLANTICO) has renewed its collaboration agreement with Club Bathco Handball Torrelavega, reaffirming its commitment to sport in Cantabria.

The signing of the agreement was attended by Antonio Gómez, president of the club, accompanied by the entire squad of the men’s team, including four players who are also students of the Degree in Physical Activity and Sports Sciences (CAFYD) at UNEATLANTICO: Carlos Gómez, Fernando González, Jokin Aja and Miguel de Cos.
The rector of UNEATLANTICO, Rubén Calderón, underlined the solid and lasting relationship between the two institutions, highlighting how both have evolved over time. For his part, Antonio Gómez expressed his pride in continuing the collaboration with the university for another season, describing this year as “very special”, largely due to the team’s great participation in the last edition of the Copa del Rey, finishing runners-up, and its qualification for the EHF European League.
In addition, Gómez referred to the curricular internships currently being carried out by two Communication students, and expressed his desire to expand these opportunities to other degrees, with the aim of “always reaching new horizons”.
Finally, it is important to note that UNEATLANTICO offers the Degree in Physical Activity and Sports Sciences (CAFYD) and the Master’s Degree in Sports Performance: Training and Functional Assessment. In addition, the university organizes, supports and promotes a wide range of activities related to various sports disciplines, reaffirming its commitment to sport and the comprehensive training of its students.
