The Universidad Europea del Atlántico (European Atlantic University UNEATLANTICO) and the active tourism company Cantabria Treks have signed an agreement with the aim of developing joint projects in the academic, cultural and sporting fields, Encouraging the spread of Cantabrian sport and the promotion of healthy habits among the university community.
The agreement was signed by Rubén Calderón Iglesias, rector of UNEATLANTICO, and María Isla Hoyal, CEO of Cantabria Treks, with the aim of establishing a framework for cooperation to promote initiatives that integrate education, sport and culture.
The agreement seeks for both institutions to work together in several areas: organizing academic and sports activities, promoting hiking and the relationship with nature, and developing cultural and training projects that benefit students and the community. To this end, a Monitoring and Evaluation Commission will be set up with representatives from UNEATLANTICO and Cantabria Treks, which will coordinate the programmes, review the results and approve new initiatives.

Thanks to this agreement, UNEATLANTICO and Cantabria Treks will be able to work together, offering students practical experiences in sport and nature, promoting healthy habits and contributing to the cultural and social development of Cantabria.
