Toni González, Michelin-starred chef, joins UNEATLANTICO’s teaching team

Toni González, Michelin-starred chef, joins the teaching staff of the European University of the Atlantic (UNEATLANTICO) for the 2024-2025 academic year. Gonzalez will teach students of the Degree in Gastronomy, belonging to the Faculty of Health Sciences.

With more than 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry, González has stood out for his ability to create innovative and high quality dishes, working in prestigious restaurants. His specialty lies in the elaboration of avant-garde menus that combine creativity and culinary excellence.
González will be in charge of the subject “Avant-Garde Techniques in Gastronomy”, in which students will learn to modify the shapes, textures and temperatures of food without altering its flavor. His arrival represents an important milestone for the degree, bringing his vast experience and innovative approach to academic training.
Silvia Aparicio, Vice Rector of the Universidad Europea del Atlántico, highlighted the strategic focus of the gastronomy degree. In an interview with Toni González, she stressed that the aim is not only to teach students culinary skills, but also to train them in the integral management of a gastronomic business, including finance, marketing, resources and nutrition. The incorporation of González, according to Aparicio, represents a significant advance in the quality and excellence of the training offered.
Sandra Sumalla, director of the Gastronomy degree, expressed her satisfaction with the incorporation of Chef González: “It is an honor to have a professional of his caliber, who in addition to his experience in the kitchen, has a strong teaching vocation. I am sure that he will enrich the training of our students, both academically and personally”.
