The Universidad Europea del Atlántico (European University of the Atlantic, UNEATLANTICO ) will host tomorrow, 10 December, the 25th Round of Investors of the Foundation for Innovation and Development (FIDBAN). During this event, three Cantabrian startups, LAPROA, CANAIA and LAYA, will present their projects to investors who are supported by the university.
On this occasion, the round will be opened by Federico Moratinos, CEO of Euromexia for Europe and president of the Artificial Intelligence Cluster NERTRA in Mexico, who will subsequently be interviewed by the content director of the SER Chain in Cantabria, Fermín Mier.
The first project is LAPROA Biotech, a startup that creates miniature oceans using its patented DFBTM bioreactor, which keeps marine water stable without chemicals and with mortality <1%. Integrated into the DAGON digital ecosystem, we offer an advanced solution for RAS aquaculture with intelligent control, efficiency and sustainability.
On the other hand, CANAIA is a SaaS (Software as a Service) platform driven by Artificial Intelligence that automates customer service for small businesses, managing calls, chats, reservations and orders with an omnichannel assistant, affordable and configured in minutes.
And finally, as a third project is presented LaIA, a conversational AI solution that interacts with patients diagnosed with mental health-related pathologies through medical prescription and follow-up by a physician. It will help primary health care centres to reduce the burden of care and provide an orderly follow-up for these patients.
FIDBAN is a non-profit foundation, whose main objective is to help startups seek private investment for the development of their projects. Its Board includes the European Atlantic University, SODERCAN as main sponsor, the Ibero-American University Foundation (FUNIBER), CITICAN, the municipalities of Santander and Torrelavega and CEOE-CEPYME.
