The Physical Activity and Sports Service (SAFD) of the European University of the Atlantic (UNEATLANTICO) organizes the first UNEATLANTICO-MARTIMBAL paddle league, in which students were divided into three groups, male, female and mixed.
The tournament had 30 teams in total, 24 male, 3 female and 3 of both genders. In this match, the winners of the men’s division were Alain Castillo and Javier Trueba. Similarly, in the women’s division, the winners were Dayana Escudero and Marta Rivero, and finally, in the mixed division, Javier Trueba and Marta Rivero won.
The University remains firmly committed to sports and internal competitions for the enjoyment and integration of its students. In addition, on previous occasions, different activities have been carried out for the practice of sports and the union of the student body, such as table tennis tournaments, 3×3 basketball, indoor soccer, among others. This is why the SAFD will continue to organize tournaments like this one in order to promote sports activities at the university .
In this line and in order to encourage physical activity and sport at the university, UNEATLANTICO in turn, has sports clubs open to the entire university community who wish to join them.
