The Physical Activity and Sport Service (SAFD) of the European Atlantic University(UNEATLANTICO) together with the Cantabrian Association of Pickleball has organized the first sports workshop of the course, taught by Pedro Gutierrez Gomez, founder of the Cantabrian Association of Pickleball.
The activity was attended by a group of members of the university community, who had the opportunity to learn the basics of pickleball and actively participate in the practice of this sport. During the session, attendees were able to familiarize themselves with the dynamics of the game, learn the basic rules and experience the combination of tennis, paddle and badminton elements that characterize this discipline.
The activity is part of the collaboration between UNEATLANTICO and the Asociación Cántabra de Pickleball, consolidated after the signing of a convention that aims to promote sport at regional level and transmit values through physical activity.
UNEATLANTICO students can practice pickleball every Wednesday from 18:30 to 20:00 hours free of charge on track 2 of the sports center. External participants can attend from 17:00 to 18:30, by contacting Gutiérrez in advance. The first day is free and a minimum cost will be charged to cover facilities and equipment.
