Last Thursday, November 2, 2023, an important meeting took place between the rector of the European University of the Atlantic (European University of the Atlantic, UNEATLANTICO), Rubén Calderón, and the president of the Fundación Europea de Medicina Tradicional Complementaria e Integrativa (European Foundation for Complementary and Integrative Traditional Medicine), Dr. Ramón María Calduch, in the facilities of the FEMTCI in Madrid.
In this meeting, in addition to reviewing the beginning of the course in the Escuelas Superiores de MTC (Higher Schools of TCM), osteopathy and naturopathy, issues such as the recent extension of the agreement by which the teachers of the schools of the FEMTCI and Grupo THUBAN, who meet certain requirements, may start or strengthen their knowledge to be able to access to present research projects and scientific publications from the University.
This is excellent news, both for the FEMTCI and Grupo Thuban, as well as for their professors, who will be able to reinforce their curricula, request six-year periods, and participate in joint research projects. And for the future presentation of official bachelor’s and master’s degree courses, in Chinese Medicine, Osteopathy, and Naturopathy, which are currently degrees of the Universidad Europea del Atlántico.
Dr. Calduch also explained to the Rector of UNEATLANTICO, among other issues, that the FEMTCI has been chosen as the headquarters, for Spain and Spanish-speaking countries, of the TCM Ruta de la Seda (Silk Road), of which Dr. Calduch is the European Ambassador.
“This will enhance our internationalization and the possibilities of ERASMUS-style collaboration with schools and institutions in other countries,” in the words of Dr. Ramón Mª Calduch.
