The IV edition of the lecture series of the program And now what? begins with José Fernández as inaugural speaker at UNEATLANTICO

The European University of the Atlantic (UNEATLANTICO) has held a new session of the employment days “What now?”, with the participation of José Fernández, engineer and entrepreneur, co-founder and CEO of Easycomp. During this day, Fernandez shared his extensive professional experience in the United States and offered valuable advice to students interested in working in companies in the country.

Fernández, who completed his academic training in Cantabria before pursuing an MBA at Harvard University and a Master’s degree in Computer Engineering at Cornell University, highlighted his professional career in renowned companies such as Google, DELL and INTAAP. In his talk, he explained what these companies look for in candidates and offered an insider’s view of the U.S. technology sector.
One of the key points of his talk was frustration management, emphasizing the importance of moving forward despite obstacles. He quoted the famous phrase “There is no path, you make the path as you go” to emphasize that the process towards achieving goals can be full of challenges, but also offers great rewards.
Subsequently, the CO-founder and CEO of EASYCOMP spoke about the importance of innovation and leadership, as well as prior knowledge about the company in which you opt for a position, along with what is most relevant for a leading technology company.
At the end of the day, a Q&A session was held, where students were able to interact with Fernandez and learn more about topics such as entrepreneurship and the corporate culture of large technology organizations.
UNEATLANTICO’s “What now?” sessions provide students with the opportunity to learn from successful professionals and acquire essential tools to improve their employability in their respective fields.
