The in-person week of the third edition of the Business Workshop focused on Artificial Intelligence and business digitalisation comes to an end

The third edition of the MBA Business Workshop, entitled ‘Business Digitalisation: New Business Standards’ and held at the Universidad Europea del Atlántico (European University of the Atlantic, UNEATLANTICO), has come to an end after a week packed with seminars and visits to renowned companies in Santander, led by the Vice-Rector for Academic Planning and Teaching Staff, Silvia Aparicio.

From 7 to 11 July, MBA students enjoyed an intense week of practical training, combining masterclasses with experts, institutional visits and workshops focused on the current challenges facing the business world.

AI applied to business, led by Professor Manuel Masías, followed by a presentation on geostrategy and business digitalisation given by Professor Silvia Aparicio. The day ended with a presentation by Cerealto’s Director of Human Resources, Ricardo Sánchez Montañés.

Throughout the week, students had the opportunity to visit leading companies such as Ingram Micro Cloud, where they learned first-hand about a digital business model; the Port of Santander, to analyse port logistics operations; and Nestlé’s headquarters, where they explored the agri-food model applied by the multinational.

In addition, seminars were offered on topics such as artificial intelligence applied to finance, digitalisation at Vodafone, consumer behaviour, and business communication, with the participation of top-level teachers and professionals such as Cristina Mazas, Ignacio Dávila, and Virginia Matesanz.

The practical approach was consolidated with workshops such as the Negotiation Workshop, led by Professor Juan Luis Vidal, and another focused on Entrepreneurship and Creativity, led by Professor María Valentina González.

Student testimonials

During the visit to the Nestlé factory, one of the students from Angola, José Idalécio Macambo Pucuta, highlighted the value of learning about the inner workings of a multinational agri-food company. This experience gave them a practical understanding of the production and strategic processes that have positioned the company as a global leader in its sector. For the group, it was an enriching opportunity that they particularly appreciated.

Gabriela Zepeda, a student from El Salvador, valued the workshop as a very comprehensive learning experience. She highlighted the quality of the presentations, given by experts in key areas such as marketing, human resources, finance, innovation and emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence. She also highlighted the diversity of the group, made up of professionals with different backgrounds, which encourages collaborative and multidisciplinary learning.

Diego Soto, from Costa Rica, highlighted the richness of the experience, not only in academic terms, but also because of the opportunity to interact with colleagues from different countries and continents. For him, the programme provided a clear overview of global trends in digitalisation and artificial intelligence. He also praised the quality of the experts and the organisation of the event, which far exceeded his expectations.

This in-person week reaffirmed UNEATLANTICO’s commitment to comprehensive training, capable of connecting academic knowledge with the demands of today’s business environment. An initiative that strengthens the strategic vision of future leaders in business administration and management.
