Next Thursday will be held the gala where the awards of the IV edition of the UNEATLANTICO Short Film Festival will be presented. The gala will be held in the university’s Assembly Hall at 18:30.
The Universidad Europea del Atlántico (European University of the Atlantic, UNEATLANTICO) is getting ready for the IV edition of its Short Film Festival, whose awards gala will be held next Thursday, 22nd May, at 18:30 in the university’s Assembly Hall.
The Festival will recognise the creativity and audiovisual talent of the students, awarding a prize to the winning short films. The awards will be distributed in a total of nine categories, including the usual ones (best short film, direction, script, photography, editing, sound, actress and actor) and the ‘Federico Fernández Special Award’.
Participation is open to all UNEATLANTICO students. The official deadline for the submission of works is the 19th of May at 23:59 hours.
As a prelude to the gala, there will be a public screening of the participating short films. This session will take place on Wednesday, 21 May, at 16:00, also in the Assembly Hall, inviting the university community to get to know the audiovisual proposals presented.
The awards ceremony will be presented by students Paula Díaz-Velarde and Venise Martínez. The awards ceremony will be attended by other students and members of the UNEATLANTICO community.
This edition is a continuation of the success of previous years. At the gala of the III Short Film Festival, held last year, the short film ‘Un Western’, by the Audiovisual Communication (CA) student Héctor D. Somonte, won the award for the best short film of that edition.
