The Universidad Europea del Atlántico (European University of the Atlantic, UNEATLANTICO) has held the fifth edition of its Table Tennis Tournament. Organised by the Physical Activity and Sports Service (PASS), this event has established itself as one of the most eagerly awaited and dynamic events on the university sports calendar, attracting a growing number of participants with each edition.
The campus sports centre was the venue for the event, which was marked by an atmosphere of healthy competition and camaraderie. Members of the UNEATLANTICO community came together to enjoy a tournament that, beyond the technical results, seeks to strengthen the bonds of the academic community through physical exercise and healthy leisure activities.
The tournament was structured in two formats to promote both individual skill and collective strategy. First, the men’s singles competition was held, in which Marcos García was crowned champion after overcoming the various knockout rounds.
Secondly, the mixed doubles tournament was held, a category that highlighted coordination and teamwork. The pair formed by Rocío Crespo and Marcos García managed to prevail in a hard-fought final, thus achieving victory.
The Physical Activity and Sports Service will continue to organise tournaments and various activities to promote physical activity in the university community.
