The European University of the Atlantic (UNEATLANTICO), in collaboration with the Red Cross, has run a first aid course in which some of the teaching and research staff and administrative and services staff have been trained in how to act in possible health emergencies.
The course, which took place on the university’s premises, provided participants with the knowledge and skills essential for responding to health emergencies. The training was provided by Red Cross professionals with extensive experience in emergency care and health training.
This training is part of the process of implementing the Health Emergency Plan designed by the European University of the Atlantic, the aim of which is to provide the university community with protocols and tools for an effective response to emergency situations. To this end, drills will be carried out to put into practice everything learned in this training and to make the entire university community aware of the importance of knowing how to act in these types of situations.
For their part, the Red Cross has praised the initiative taken by the university, given the importance of this type of training in educational spaces, where the influx of students and workers makes it essential to have people trained to respond to possible incidents.
With this training, the European University of the Atlantic reinforces its commitment to the safety and well-being of its community, committing itself to the training of its staff in key aspects for the prevention and attention of emergencies.
