Students of the Master’s Degree in Environmental Engineering from UNEATLANTICO perform face-to-face practices on campus

Students of the  Máster Universitario en Ingeniería Ambiental, taught by the European University of the Atlantic(UNEATLANTICO), participated in a face-to-face conference focused on the theoretical and practical study of environmental factors of soil and water.

The first day began with a lecture given by Dr. José Ramos Vivas, who addressed topics related to microbiology applied to soils, from crops to bioremediation. This session was complemented by a laboratory practice, where the students had the opportunity to perform different analyses with samples of microbiota in soils and water sources.

During the second day, the results were analyzed and conclusions were drawn in the laboratory on the practices carried out the previous day. In this sense, the Master’s students raised different questions about how bioremediation can improve soil quality and recover a contaminated site.
