The third year students of the Degree in Psychology (PSI) of the European University of the Atlantic (UNEATLANTICO), Javier Gutiérrez and Sofía Díez, will carry out a series of psycho-pedagogical workshops aimed at the students of the university, with the aim of providing them with tools to help them improve their academic performance.

The workshops will focus on acquiring useful tools for learning and performance, aimed at improving study techniques, starting in February and finishing in May, before the final exams of the second semester. The workshops are open to all students, regardless of the degree they are studying at UNEATLANTICO.

They will be taught in groups, with a maximum capacity of 14 people and two sessions per week, with a duration of one and a half hours each. In this way, one hour will focus on theory and questions that students may have, and the final half hour will be for practical activities. In addition to this, if the student wishes and has attended the group workshops, they can request an individual session by emailing the psycho-pedagogical office at: taller.psicopedagogico@uneatlantico.es

Among the topics to be covered, two weeks will be devoted to talking about and providing tools for managing stress when studying and another two weeks to improving study techniques. The workshops will be alternated throughout the term in morning and afternoon weeks and times in order to reach more students with the contents.

It should be noted that this project is part of the Research Workshop offered by UNEATLANTICO throughout the course in different areas, directed in this case by Isabel Diego, teacher and head of the Psychopedagogical Office, and aims to enable students to acquire new knowledge that will help them to join the professional field of scientific research in their area of knowledge with a better preparation.

Soon, the students involved in this project will send a survey to all students so that members of the UNEATLANTICO community can participate if they are interested.
