Rubén Calderón gives an interview to Cantabria Directa to talk about the start of the 2024-2025 school year

Rubén Calderón, rector of the European University of the Atlantic (UNEATLANTICO), was interviewed by José Luis López, director of Cantabria Directa, in order to present the most relevant data from the beginning of the current academic year.

In the interview, Calderón spoke about a series of topics such as the establishment of UNEATLANTICO in Santander and its development over the years, as well as his experience as rector and professor at the university, emphasising the need to maintain direct contact with the students and the benefits this has brought him.

He also spoke about the development of the university, its growth and the faculties that UNEATLANTICO has as well as the 15 on-site degrees and 17 master’s degrees, both on-site and online, that make up the university.

On the other hand, he highlighted the international character of the campus and the great impact this has had on providing an educational approach with a global context. In addition to this, UNEATLANTICO provides English classes to all its curricula, so that students have opportunities both inside and outside the country.

In the same vein, the rector stressed that the university incorporates a subject of Business and Entrepreneurship in all its curricula, so that students develop the necessary skills to undertake and develop in the world of work, regardless of the degree of their choice.

To provide a perspective from the student body, the Rector invited Paula Díaz-Velarde, a student in the third year of Journalism at UNEATLANTICO to comment on her experience at the university, as well as the technical means used to conduct the interview.

It should be noted that all the technical means used for the production, realisation and post-production are part of the material that the university provides to the students of the degrees in Journalism (PER), Advertising and Public Relations (PRP) and Audiovisual Communication (CA). Daniel Villareal, Jordy Rojals, Camila Yarzebski and María Fernanda Molina, students of these degrees, were in charge of this interview. Paula Díaz-Velarde also took part in the interview.
