The European University of the Atlantic (UNEATLANTICO) has organised a new session of the employment conference ‘What now?’ with the participation of the graduate from the University of Los Angeles (USA) and MBA from the Polytechnic University of Madrid. It should be noted that this series of conferences is moderated by Francisco Zunzunegui, Director of SITE UNEATLANTICO.
Roberto de Diego, Managing Partner of Alacran Advisory and Consulting FZE explained his experience of what companies in Spain, the United Kingdom, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates are looking for. After recounting his beginnings in the world of work, he spoke about his career and experience, giving advice on how to face the world of work once he has finished his degree.
Likewise, de Diego shared some cases of how to handle frustration when things do not go as you want and think and his professional background in companies such as NCR, BT Telecommunications or Jazztel, among others.
One of the key points of his talk was the importance of managing and enduring tough selection processes and being well prepared for a job interview. He also stressed that we are always being watched by someone in the company, both for better and for worse. ‘You have to know the company you are going to work for well and learn to handle frustrations well,’ he said.
Along these lines, the ‘What now?’ employment days, organised by UNEATLANTICO, provide students and professionals with the opportunity to learn from successful cases and acquire knowledge about employability and professional development. This event aims to motivate attendees and offer them practical tools and recommendations to face the challenges of the current labour market.
