It should also be noted that one of the members of this association, Ricardo Fernández Vázquez, is a graduate of the Universidad Europea del Atlántico with a degree in Physical Activity and Sports Sciences and a Master’s Degree in Teacher Training for Compulsory Secondary Education and Baccalaureate, Vocational Training and Language Teaching.
As part of the training sessions, Professor Martín Barcala Furelos, together with Ricardo, gave a lecture on “Sport for all”.
“Sport Educates” is the first edition of a training conference held in Sarón in honor of Toni Fernández Vázquez. The Acerala Association, formed by family and friends, seeks to honor his memory and sports legacy through this initiative. The days included talks, round tables and activities such as a friendly match in memory of Toni, as well as an exhibition of the EDM soccer team, of which Antonio Fernández was part of the youth academy and coach of a cadet team of CD Cayón.
