The second year students of the degree in Primary Education (EP) offered by the European University of the Atlantic (UNEATLANTICO) visit the facilities of the Provincial Historical Archive of Cantabria and the Central Library of Cantabria, as part of the training activities carried out in the degree.
The main objective of both visits was that the students of Primary Education know the function of both institutions, since it is important to know the work of dissemination of culture that they develop and the internal functioning of the same. The students were able to learn firsthand how documents are treated in the Archive, restored and made available to the public, as well as the operation, the management of library loans and the day-to-day life of the library and the possible applications in the educational field.
The degree in Primary Education of UNEATLANTICO, emphasizes the importance of the integral development of the students with an innovative and practical program, thus preparing students with a training focused on the real and current needs of their professional sector.
In addition to the visit to the Provincial Historical Archive of Cantabria, as well as the Central Library, the students of the degree in Primary Education have also had the opportunity to visit the Waldorf School Cantabria, visit the Center for Environmental Research (CIMA), visit the CEIP Cisneros, among others.
