The Fundación Innovación y Desarrollo (Innovation and Development Foundation, FIDBAN) will hold next Tuesday, December 12, from 9:30 am its nineteenth round of investors in the auditorium of the Universidad Europea del Atlántico (European University of the Atlantic, UNEATLANTICO). The meeting will host the presentation of the Neptune and UltraVirtus startups.
The Round is open to entrepreneurs and potential investors. To attend the event, you can register at secretaria@fidban.com, eventos.sercantabria@cadenaser.com, or at https://www.fidban.com/inscripcion-inversores. As in previous editions, the Nineteenth Investor Round can be followed live on the FIDBAN channel on Youtube, by video on the sercantabria.com web, and audio streaming on the SER App.
The 19th Investor Round
Before the presentation of the projects, the round of investors will be opened, as usual, by a successful entrepreneur, who in this case will be the founder of CIFRA Educación (CIFRA Education), Alejandro Trigos, who will be interviewed by the content director of Cadena SER in Cantabria, Fermín Mier.
The use of wave energy, the energy produced by waves, obtained in ports, favoring renewable self-generation and reducing the carbon footprint generated by port activity is the proposal developed by Neptune Energy Services, which the startup will present to investors at the 19th Investor Round organized by the Fundación Innovación y Desarrollo (FIDBAN). UltraVirtus, a Cantabrian company that has developed an exoskeleton for military use, which can also be used for civilian purposes, will also attend the conference. As in previous editions, the activity, which will take place in the auditorium of the Universidad Europea del Atlántico and will start at 9.30 a.m. on Tuesday, December 12, will be attended by a successful entrepreneur. In this case, Alejandro Trigos, founder of CIFRA Educación.
Ports in Spain face the challenge of adopting sustainable energy practices, such as achieving 50% renewable self-generation, and drastically reducing their carbon footprint by 70% in accordance with the regulations and goals established by the European Union and the Spanish Government. There are no easy, universal solutions. Wave energy is a viable option for ports exposed to waves, 119 in Spain, as it is a resource that does not take up space in its activity and is renewable, inexhaustible, and predictable.
The solution proposed by Neptune Energy Services has all the possibilities to become one of the pioneers in this market and position itself as a leader in decarbonization with the generation through modular wave energy installations attached to the breakwaters, participating in the value chain from promotion, subsidy management, and construction to the operation and maintenance of the installations, including the sale of energy.
The second project selected by FIDBAN for its Nineteenth Investor Round, the last in 2023, is led by Mario Ceballos and Infantry Colonel and strategic project consultant, Carlos Cerrato. UltraVirtus is a startup dedicated to the development of disruptive technologies in the field of robotics, bionics, UAV, and electrification. They carry out the design, manufacture, commissioning, and integral service of all its products and services. Their latest project, called Ultra Exo-1, is an exoskeleton designed to enhance the capabilities of the infantryman. It incorporates servomotors, control board with AI capacity, sensorics, and batteries according to needs, all ruggedized, easy to install and maintain.
Focused on the lower part of the fighter, it increases strength and endurance, (hip and knee) strengthened, ankle (reinforced). The exoskeleton designed by UltraVirtus has a dual focus, both military and civilian.
