Given the declaration of the state of alarm due to the health emergency decreed by the nation’s Government, which, among other aspects, considerably restricts the movement of people and promotes measures aimed at slowing the spread of the pandemic, the Governing Council of the European University of the Atlantic has resolved to maintain the suspension of face-to-face teaching activities until the 29th of this month and adopt a series of measures to minimize the presence of students, professors, and administrative and service personnel on university premises. In this sense, the implementation of minimum services has been declared at the European University of the Atlantic, which schedule will be from 8:30 to 15:00 hours.
However, the students will carry out different tasks and activities during this period as indicated by the teaching staff through the Virtual Campus. This is to minimize the impact on the students’ academic activity.
In his resolution dated March 14, the Rector also states that those responsible for the academic and administrative units have been asked to coordinate the different departments, services and personnel under their charge to organize the necessary tasks through remote work, while trying to provide proper assistance to the students of the University. The students will be able to continue to progress through their teaching plan via activities and work assigned to them by their professors in the university’s virtual campus. In this way, we want to minimize the impact of this extraordinary situation on the students’ academic activities.
