The Universidad Europea del Atlántico (European University of the Atlantic, UNEATLANTICO), through the Physical Activity and Sport Service (SAFD) and in collaboration with the Real Federación Cántabra de Fútbol (RFCF), has celebrated with great success the fourth edition of its Futsal League, an event already consolidated within the university community and that, on this occasion, has been held in memory of Raúl Ramírez Osorio.
The competition has brought together students in an atmosphere of camaraderie, sportsmanship and healthy competition, where teams have demonstrated a high level of play throughout the various days played.
The finals of each category offered very exciting encounters. In the Bronze Cup, LFAM UNEAT was proclaimed champion after winning 4-0 to Roja Directa. In the Silver Cup, Spartans and Legionnaires tied 2-2, deciding the title from the penalties, where Spartans prevailed and took victory. Finally, in the Gold Cup, Minguetis won the championship after beating Nottingham Esperanzas 6-2.
The winning team of the Gold Cup, Minguetis, had the opportunity to play the Champions Cup against the University of Cantabria (UCE), achieving a strong victory by 9-3. Thanks to this result, the team will represent UNEATLANTICO in the Spanish University Championship, which will be held in Granada, where it will compete with the best universities of the country.
